An update of my crazy life.
After coming home from the Vineyard things have been busy. We had originally planned to go to Old Forge this weekend, but after travelling last weekend, I told Guy there was no way I could do it again so soon. So for now we have put it off for another weekend in the future. I do miss my Adirondacks though, this morning I was laying bed thinking about drinking coffee on the porch in Old Forge, that is the best.
This week I had my 6 week check up, an appointment to get my hair cut & highlighted, we had to get the house in order for an appraisal because we are refinancing, I had to unpack and do all the laundry from the trip, not to mention my pool is looking very neglected. Plus grocery shop, bank and pay bills!
For the most part it all went to plan, but not without testing my sanity a little bit. My babysitter that helps me out for a few hours on Tuesday and Friday cancelled on me this week which sent me into a bit of tailspin. She texted me early Tuesday that she could not come and I became a little unglued. Mostly because I was so looking forward to going to the gym and taking a shower in peace. Just a tiny bit of "mommy time" after a long weekend with the kids and traveling etc. I also had to cancel my hair appointment since I had no coverage for the kids. So I was irritated about that as well. This is a blog topic for another day but what do you do when someone who works for you is always late or cancelling on you, but their service is valuable?
Thankfully my niece was able to come over and help with the kids for a few afternoons so I could get the house in order and pay some attention to my pool. Which is still a disaster, I need to clean it today, at least I got the basket emptied, chemicals leveled and skimmed earlier in the week. I also have to get it warmed up, our heater is broken so I threw the solar cover on it today hoping this heat will warm it up for the weekend.
As for my husband he is crazy busy again with work. Seriously he went into the office at 6am every day this week and came out at 6:30pm or later. So I saw him to eat, then we cleaned up from dinner, got Mia ready for bed, settled the baby and went to bed ourselves. And 1 of the nights he went back to work after dinner. Zero quality time which is also making me on edge! We did have 1 exception, we went to dinner on Tuesday for our anniversary which was nice, but that was the only time we spent together alone this week. We are both looking forward to getting back to a normal routine. We are planning to move the baby to the nursery in a few days and I am hoping that will get us closer to sleeping through the night. Maybe just maybe!?!
Wishing you all a fabulous weekend - xo - Mellycup
