Lemon drops and Tequila, my friend. The moment where a 30-year-old body does not recover quite as fast as a 29-year-old body...
So yes tomorrow I am gracefully stepping in the next decade of my life - My 30's! And to tell you the truth I am a tiny bit freaked about it, but I am getting used to the idea. I guess I better since I only have 9 hours left to be 29. And the worst part is I am sick so I am not even going out with a bang today. There's always 39! I think this is the decade where I actually have to grow up, I mean do the whole family, kids thing. Which I know excites many family members who have been asking Guy and I about kids for the last 4.5 years that we have been married. No I am not making any announcements here today, I am just saying, kids are in the future at some point!
But here are a few words about my 20's - they were great. I did so many things and had so MUCH FUN! I finished college, I bought my first car with my money (I miss that Firebird still to this day!!). I got an amazing dog, who is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I was proposed to and married the most amazing man a woman could ever ask for. I also married into the most awesome and fun family! I went to some beautiful places, went on some crazy road trips had some really great times. I bought a house, survived an addition. Learned to Snowmobile and after all this time I think I have really become a pro-rider.
I know there is way more than all this, but you'll have to buy my book to get the full scoop. Yes - I am determined to finish my book before I turn 40! Ughh that's an even more depressing thought.
But in closing to all my friends and family - thank you for being such a special part of my life. My memories of my 20's would not be the same if I didn't have all of you to have shared my good times with. I love you all and I hope my 30's are just as fun, exciting and memorable!
And to my husband Guy - you are the love of my life, you treat me like a princess, you make me laugh, you always encourage me and you have made me braver than I ever thought I could be. Spending my 20's with you was amazing and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you...being crazy and having fun as always! Thank you! ilu.

I blew out my flip flop, stepped on a pop top.
Things have been crazy as usual - trying to fit all my stuff into 3 days during the week and catch up on sleep is very exhausting in itself. But this week I get a few extra days because we are not going to Old Forge. We are staying home this weekend to have a 30th B-Day celebration for my LaLa and me. So I am not sad about missing a weekend, the only bummer is that we are supposed to get 16" of snow over the next few days! Figures.
I feel bad that my blog is so boring lately but I really have nothing interesting going on. I mean there is stuff going on, but Guy gets mad if I share all my personal information on here - see previous blog.
One thing I can share is I am redoing my bathroom - Finally!!!! It's the original tub and tile (mind you my house was built in the late 30's), and it has those old lady bars in the tub, etc. We are gutting the whole thing, new tub, toilet, vanity, fixtures, window and on and on. We went to the tile store the other day and picked out everything. We are doing basic cream colored tile with an accent tile on the floor and in the tub. I LOVE the accent tile, it's glass tiles in shades of brown, tan and a really deep plum. Hopefully we can get that project rolling soon. I will keep you posted. I am excited about the finished product but renovating is always a little hectic on the household.
Well I am off to an early B-Day Margarita Celebration for my LaLa with her work crew.

If I ruled the world...imagine that...
Rules. Today I was at my grandma's house - god bless her she is 93 years old and full of pep. But seriously she is SO regimented. She has specific rags for cleaning certain things, she cleans the bathroom on one day, dusts the living room on another and there I think there is a laundry schedule as well. But back to my rules topic...while I was at her house I had lunch and I washed my hands in the kitchen and I grabbed the dishtowel and dried my hands. Well Kathy (who is very dear family friend who lives with my grandma) came in and said oh you are not supposed to do that! What? Dry my hands? or Ohhhh I am not supposed to use the dish towel... When I inquired about this Kathy informed me that its strictly for drying the dishes. Well I don't know about most people but I use my dish towels to dry the dishes, wipe up spills and dry my hands. But I guess at Grandma's its a rule. Sorry for trying to save the planet and use less paper towel...my bad Gram.
What is the deal with rules? Do people really hold themselves to things? Oh its Sunday we have to do the laundry. Oh we only eat out once a week. Oh we don't allow this in our house. Craziness - don't be bound by all these rules - life isn't about a set in stone plan and long list of how to's. HAVE FUN, obey the law - but eat ice cream in bed, let the laundry pile up a few days and if you dare - use the dish towel to dry your hands!!!

You're at the office all day, doing interesting office things...
So Happy Monday - but for most people I sure Monday is not a "happy" day - i.e. going back to work etc. Ooooh my foot is asleep, I hate that feeling.
Had a fabulous weekend in Old Forge - lots of laughs and the riding was not too bad. We did about 180-200 miles and it was great. Although we did get a little crazy at times but hey it happens. I am looking forward to the next few trips we have up here b/c it should be fun. I only hope that Lord Benson can make it at the end of Feb, but we'll see. (Lord Benson are you reading this???.....No I know you are not).
So my dog is super talkative today - he was sleeping on the couch next to me and he heard Guy say something in the other room and he jumped up and started barking. I guess he forgot Guy was here. (ha). Then after the barking he did a series of stretches and yawns where a bunch of chatty little noises came out. Too funny, I only wish I had him on tape. It was like he was bitching Guy out for waking him up. Crazy pup.
Ok enough of this random blog, I have to go put oil in the sleds.

Some people care too much, I think it's called love.
Arggg Guy is super busy which is a good thing but the only part the sucks is we get zero time together (except for mobiling which is time we share with everyone else). And I am just bumming around missing him during the day and most of the early evening. Dang. Just wanted to vent about my double edged sword - the work is good but the not being together bites!
