This morning I shot six holes in my freezer...

...I think I got cabin fever...

So I am up in the North with NO SNOW...been holed up in the house eating and drinking and just partying it up...but it would be nice to get some snow and go riding. Got a little riding in on Friday and it was great but I am dying to get some more mileage on my new sled.

Rumor has it that snow is coming tonite - so I have to get out there and do a little snow dancing and stir up some white precipitation - at least a few inches. Tonite we are expecting Ash & Ted - currently its Guy and I and Todd and Nicole just hanging out. We had other visitors over the weekend so we have an on going rotation.

This blog is so boring seriously b/c nothing is going on - right now Guy is kicking a fire into gear - the deer were outside strolling by with Stumpy their leader a while ago and the biggest plans for tonite is cooking up some penne ala vodka and brownie sundaes for dessert. I am sure if we keep the drinks flowing we'll have some fun.

Ahhh so Christmas eve is here and I am in a crummy mood - which sucks. Over the last few days all the mini-family battles and drama have started to emerge and I hate it. Why can't people just get along? I just want to visit everyone, be happy, not be made to feel guilty etc. This is supposed to be a happy time but I always feel in someway that there are always people who are unhappy about the outcome of things. Everyone needs to take a step back, breathe, maybe have a cocktail or 2 and realize that we are lucky to have each other, and that if we spend an hour or 5 hours with each other that time is precious no matter what. In closing I am thankful for all the family I have and I am going to do my best to just have a great time, be happy and no fall into anymore negativity.

Party Like a Rockstar!

Oh my goodness - crazy xmas party this weekend and again I realize that I am not cut out for the party life anymore - 30 is fast approaching and the partying days are really rough on me, and Guy too.... So this xmas party was a blast except for the punch...its deadly. Guy and I spent most of Sunday recovering - I seriously stayed in bed for most of the day - thank god for my awesome LaLa who came over and cleaned up! Other than that I had fun, wore my fabulous new shoes and my cute dress and partied with all my besties. Some of my favs were missing b/c of the icy/snowy weather...which was just silly! So now tomorrow is xmas eve and we have to share the next 2 days between all the families - then we get to run away to Old Forge and have some more fun.

I hope everyone is done with thier shopping - I got my last few gifts yesterday and it was madness - the roads, the stores, the parking lots - CRAZY! Today is a chill day...yay!

Crosstown traffic, all you do is slow me down...

Good morning my sugar plum fairies - I hope you are getting in the Christmas Spirit. One thing I have noticed about the fast approach of Christmas is the traffic. Yesterday it took me twice as long to get around town then it normally would. Can someone tell me where are these people going? Last minute Christmas shopping? Sending packages? Why all the traffic? Seriously I must have heard about 100 cars honking their horns in impatience - A few times I felt like I was back over on Nolan Court with the horn honking mommy lovers. (But that's a story for another day).

There was a little snow overnight which has now turned to freezing rain - its still looks pretty out but I know that won't last. Not too much time to blog this morning - I have to go get ready to go to work for a few hours, plus I have a bunch of other xmas time errands to run. So I will be contributing to the traffic in the area.

Well I am off and running - keep thinking Snow!

I've got better things to do than my to-do list anyway...

Sorry for being a bad blogger once again and letting so much time lapse between blogs. BUT I have a really good excuse - I was snowmobiling! We kicked off the '08-'09 season this past weekend and it was a blast - there were 9 of us up in the OF. Conditions were good - we put 100+ miles on the sleds. And we had some good laughs too. My new sled is so fabulous, I love it! And to give you an update - my snow dance was super successful! I can't wait to go back!

Ahh yes but now I am back in CT and in full xmas mode - I have a full schedule of visiting people, xmas concerts, dinners and parties. Plus I have a little more shopping to do and I have to wrap gifts. So I am cutting this short today - I will try to fit some more blogging in soon. Enjoy my OF pics!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

Snow dancing - ah yes that time of the year has arrived when everyday I check the Old Forge Webcams religiously and pray for lots of snow! Well this coming weekend is the official Old Forge Snodeo - snowmobiling kick off and we need snow. We have gotten a nice little bit but there is a small warm up blip in the forecast for tomorrow that could ruin our base!

This is where my snow dance comes in - I have a specific dance that I do to bring on the snow. And when I saw this horrible forescasted day - I immediately put my snow dancing ritual into motion! Twice a day minimum and it must be outside! I even got Guy to do it last night - but only because it was dark out and no one could see him. I swear my neighbors must think I am certifiable!

But I have faith and I will have you know that the weather is changing - the forecast has already improved - its still not great but its much better. The 47 degree, 1.4 inches of rain day has now been pushed to 38 degrees and 0.7 inches of rain. I am convinced if I continue my dancing, it will change to sleet or even wet snow. Maybe I should patent my dance moves?

That's a honey of a tree Clark...

So I went against what I said and today, Saturday, I went out and got my Christmas tree - Guy and I went to Stew Leonard's around 5 this evening to shop for a tree. And I must say it was not too bad - we breezed in, picked a tree out in about 6 minutes - paid for it and then after 2o minutes of struggling they got it strapped to the car and we were off on our way home.

I don't think I could ever have a fake Xmas tree - I love the smell of a fresh tree - so I will gladly endure vacuuming up all the needles. I am going to let the branches fall for another day or so and then I will decorate it. I did decorate the rest of the house today also and I proudly displayed my "major award" leg lamp in the window.

Tomorrow I am off for a day of Xmas shopping - I can finally say I am getting into the season.

Ahh the Christmas season is upon us and I cannot get myself in the Christmas spirit - I am so blah about Christmas this year. Maybe its that Thanksgiving was so late this year. I have no idea. I have barely started my Christmas shopping and usually I am almost done with everything wrapped at this point! I need some Christmas motivation!!! This weekend I am going to blast some xmas music - put out my decorations and prep for my tree which I am planning to get on Monday to avoid the masses. I am also going to try and get some shopping done. Maybe just maybe that will put me into the holiday groove. I think what I really need is some snow - so Santa baby give me LOTS of snow in Old Forge and I wouldn't mind a little in CT too - Go White Christmas!!

I gotta feeling I'm not the only one...

I have nothing at all going on in my life right now - therefore I have no interesting blog material. Currently I am battling the tail end of a cold, busting my butt at the gym everyday and taking care of Guy who threw his back out over the weekend. So there is not much to report. I am trying to get motivated to Christmas shop - I made a list of who I need to buy for and what I want to get - now I need to focus and get it done!!!

But seriously all I really wanna do is be in snowy Old Forge with all my faves riding my snowmobile and partyin it up!
